Tomato Jam

Tomato Jam = the stickiest, yummiest mess you will ever create. This jam is so easy to make and so incredibly delicious. I find myself putting it on EVERYTHING. I put it on my macaroni and cheese, grilled cheese, turkey burgers, grilled chicken, get the picture?

Tomatoes and brown sugar is all you need, can it get any easier?

Dice the tomatoes up and add them to a small saucepan with the brown sugar. Make sure you get all the tomato juices in there too! I like to cut the tomatoes on a small cutting board, so I can just scrape the juices into the pan.

About equal parts tomato to sugar is good.

Just so the tomatoes are well coated with the brown sugar and looks something like that ^^.

Put your stove on as low as it can go and simmer for roughly an hour.

JAMMMMMMM! Look at that sticky goodness.

Like I said above, have equal parts tomato and sugar, so you can really make as much or as little of this as you want. In the pictures, I used:

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium sized tomatoes

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar

Directions:

  1. Dice tomatoes. Add to saucepan WITH JUICES.

  2. Add brown sugar and stir, until tomatoes are well coated.

  3. Turn on stove to low and simmer for roughly an hour. Stirring occasionally. It should have a consistency of a jam. Sticky, but not overly sticky! You don't want it to get stuck in your teeth (no one likes that).

I know these directions are super vague, but I can't lie...I never measure when I make this! All you need to remember is equal parts and you will have the yummiest jam in existence.
